New Ad & Law Enforcement Coalition Highlights Tim Scott’s Support For Police, Slams Democrats’ Dangerous Policies

Today, a coalition of fifty-four South Carolina law enforcement officials announced their support for Senator Tim Scott’s re-election campaign. As crime rates and violence against police surge nationwide, South Carolina’s officers know they can count on Senator Scott to be their voice in Washington D.C.

“At a time when crime is skyrocketing all across the country, Tim Scott knows that we need a strong, well-funded, and well-trained police department to keep South Carolinians out of harm’s way,” said Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis. “Senator Scott has always been a friend to law enforcement, and we are looking forward to watching him win again in November.”

“Senator Tim Scott has been a conservative leader for our state in DC,” said Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis. “He has stood up for law enforcement from the attackers from the far left. I’m happy to stand up and support him now.”

“Senator Tim Scott is committed to keeping our communities safe and our police departments funded,” said York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson. “As Democrats in Washington, D.C. continue to attack and undermine law enforcement, it is so reassuring to know that we have a fighter like Tim Scott looking out for our needs and interests. South Carolina is a safer, more prosperous state because of Senator Scott, and I am proud to support him.”

The announced coalition includes nearly sixty rank-and-file officers, detectives, solicitors, deputies, police chiefs, and sheriffs from across the state. The full coalition list is available below.

In conjunction with the coalition announcement, Senator Scott also released a new digital ad this week highlighting his support for law enforcement. The 30-second video, entitled ‘Safe America’ underscores Senator Scott’s efforts to find common ground on legislation to increase funding and training for police officers and grow a relationship of trust between our nation’s law enforcement and the communities they serve.

TIM SCOTT:

The left’s “Defund the Police” undermined law enforcement all across America.

Now, violent crime is surging and our vulnerable communities are paying the heaviest price.

When I wrote a bill to refund the police and restore trust those same liberals killed it because their focus is on preserving their power, not solving our problems.

I’m Tim Scott, and I approve this message because I honor law enforcement and I know a safe America is a strong America.
